- Why do some people hold back from getting involved in school?
- Scared, don't want people to think they are weird, intimidated, rejection, want to get through school as fast as possible, embarrassed, trying to fit in, insecure, don't want to be bullied.
- What are some examples of driver vs. passenger behavior?
- Drivers are the people who take the lead, passengers are people trying to fit in, Drivers take control where as the passengers just watch from the side lines.
- What are some of the greatest changes students experience during middle school or high school?
- Finding your inner personality and who your real friends are, some become more involved, you become a young man or women, time demands are a lot heavier, you become more independent ( not relying on parents and teachers as much), some friends change in high school.
- Which choices or actions do we postpone?
- Communicating with people outside of the group, homework, future plans or choices, traveling, spending time with family and friends, sacrifice time with family, saving money.

- Brainstorming – What events do you think we need to get started on planning right away?
- Spirit Week, Halloween dance, fundraising, breast cancer awareness,calender motivational posters, , Halloween spirit week, back to school bbq, thanksgiving turkey, gym blast, New kid activities, Trick or treat for charity, September dance, Pep rally-gym jam. Collecting student fees, yearbook money.
- To think about for next class:

Also, the heart snatchers are something that we always do because we have always done them in the past. It's the same and doesn't seem too exciting.

a. Unknown to me, all I have ever heard of is the school dances. But I can't wait to see more.
ReplyDeleteb. I am assuming the dances are tradition but, I'm new so if I were you I wouldn't believe anything I say about Neepawa.
c. A game we played in other schools was, "Get the gum outta the flour", using no hands you use your mouth to get a piece of gum out of the wrapper and chewed, the first person to blow a bubble wins.
A good way to end our volleyball season in other schools was making our teachers play volleyball against the varsity girls. Lets just say, the whole school was entertained for weeks with the results of who won.
Mat Races, Tug-o-war, Super Anti-i-over are some other games.

-the 2$ and you can wear a hat in school
c. At my old school we did different activities like pep ralleys, bake sales, and a naturalization project. We also did things like stress free week, spirit week, and sports week.
